Of Two Worlds II - The bracelet

Here are some pictures of the bracelet (WIP)

The main silver- and perspex parts are cut.

First steps of making the hinge.

Fitting things together.

OK, the hinge fits in and works properly.

And all things come nicely together when closed... :D

work in progress

I know, it has been some time since I last posted in this blog.
Well, one can not be so creative all the time... In the summer there are sooo many things to do, sooo many people to see sooo many places to go to.
! At last, that is where all the inspiration comes from!

I started on a new project in the "of two worlds" series, and maybe this is a good time to share. The work is not done and there are a few more problems to solve, but I'll let you in on it anyway. Maybe this way you can experience some of the excitement I get when I am working on something new.

Again there will be two parts in this one. A ring (industrial-art-style) connected to a bracelet of plexi and Sterling silver (contemporary). As last time, the connection is made by a rubber hose between the two parts as you can see in the drawing above.

The ring is almost finished.
Here are some pictures of different stages in the making-process:
The discs for the "cooler- element" are cut.

And soldered.

The rotating element (this parts rotates on a axis around the cooler) added.

And the ring added.

Now comes the difficult part: The plexi bracelet with metal hinge and a (yet to try out and explore) closing system...

Soon on this blog !
